Pressbox Photo is the successful by-product of Leon Chuck’s growth from novice photographer of friends and family functions, to full collegiate affiliation as a preferred sports photographer.  

History

·    In the late 1960’s Leon began develop his passion for photography when he bought his first Kodak camera and developed his own black and white photos. By the 1970’s Leon Chuck had moved from black and white photos to the unforgiving world of Kodachrome slide film.

·   By the late 1970s- Leon and Steve Katz teamed up to produce slide shows synchronized to music. This came in handy when he began to frequently photo-document social gatherings, candid wedding photos and volleyball action at collegiate tournaments using the newly introduced Ektachrome 400 slide film. 

·   As a result of these high quality productions, Leon progressed to photographing NCAA Men’s Volleyball Final, and USA Men’s and Women’s Olympic Volleyball Team in the Mid-Atlantic Region.  In 1984, he photographed the Men’s Tennis and Men’s and Women’s Volleyball at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles using Kodachrome 64 and Ektachrome 400 and P800/1600 slide film. 

·   Always a forward thinker, Leon moved from Kodachrome to digital photography in 1992. And today,  Leon continues to research the best methods to photograph and print his photos.

We use existing Light (No flashes during wedding, plays, musicals, ballets, religious ceremonies, etc.)
